Pertama Ferroalloys Participation at the Industry Continuous Professional Development (iCPD) Series II

Pertama attended the Industry Continuous Professional Development Programme (iCPD) Series II, jointly organized by The Ministry of Education, Innovation, and Talent Development Sarawak (MEITD) in collaboration with Ministry of International Trade, Industry, and Investment Sarawak (MINTRED), Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) and Regional Corridor Development Authority (RECODA) which took place at Ming Yen Banquet, Bintulu.

Officiated by State Deputy Minister of MINTRED, The Honorable Datuk Dr. Malcolm Mussen Lamoh, this programme aims to enhance Sarawak’s workforce efficiency through upskilling, reskilling and multiskilling to improve their competitiveness and employability whilst meeting the industry skills-set demand.

Through this program, the Sarawakian workforce would have the benefit of finding relevant training courses to enhance their skills and knowledge while also improving their marketability. Additionally, their competitiveness within the industry for long term career success can be improved through this programme.

iCPD also aims to increase employability opportunities for job seekers in Bintulu, corresponding relatively to its initiative of gathering data on skills set requirements by the various industry. Furthermore, this event is able to strengthen the collaboration and partnership between institutions and industry players in the talent development for their workforce.

There were about 140 participants from over 40 esteemed agencies attended the programme as well. Amongst companies present were Press Metal Bintulu Sdn, Bintulu Edible Oils Sdn Bhd, OM Materials Sdn Bhd, Sakura Ferroalloys Sdn Bhd, and so much more.
